Who are the Chaperones?

There is one Head Chaperone and enough Chaperones to support a 1:6 ratio of Chaperones:Participants.  They are all hired for their experience working with children, are first aid certified and many are staff from Mooredale Day Camp.

Who Teaches the Lessons?

Earl Bales provides Certified Instructors for both Skiing and Snowboarding lessons.

How do the participants get there?

Transportation to Earl Bales is provided by School Bus leaving Mooredale at 4:20 pm.

Isn't 4 too young to go on a school bus all alone?

Your child is never alone.  Our chaperones provide support on the bus and at the hill while Earl Bales Instructors teach the lessons.  Parents/Guardians are encouraged to come along to see the program in action and to join in if they like!

What about dinner?

We ask that you pack food or money for dinner.  There is a cafeteria at Earl Bales that provides hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.
