Mooredale Preschool

Welcome to Mooredale Preschool!

Mooredale Preschool provides high-quality educational programs for children 18 months to five years of age in a provincially licensed facility. From toddlers to senior kindergarten we strive to provide a creative and exciting environment, where our children can experience a comprehensive range of activities to encourage their development intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.

2012 Registration

Please Note:  All morning school nursery school classes (children 2.6 to 3.8 years as of September 1, 2012), have been filled with current and alumni families.  However, there are many 3, 4, and 5 day a week afternoon nursery spaces available.  Please call the preschool office 416-922-3714 ext. 113 for more information.

For many, mornings is the program of choice, but afternoons have their benefits too...You can have the option of 3, 4 or 5 afternoons per week, smaller class sizes (usually between 8 and 12 in each class), no early morning rush out the door or your child may no longer be napping in September ....

Our Programs

An apple ......

Toddlers

To our Toddlers the apple is something red, something round, something tasty and something  to paint by swishing red pigment across smooth sheets of newsprint.

Whether you choose Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings or Tuesday and Thursday mornings, our Toddler days are filled with plenty of age- and developmentally appropriate activities, including music and movement, and French!

Nursery School

To our Nursery School children the apple has magical qualities, soon to be revealed. Apples may be red, green or yellow, but hidden inside each is a star. Here, children learn that two halves make a whole.

Morning or afternoon sessions, the choice is yours, as each program offers a stimulating environment designed to reflect the children's interests. This program is rich with learning opportunities and new experiences.

Kindergarten

Be it the Junior or the Senior program, a full day or a half day, exceptional child to teacher ratios await your child, enabling us to provide a welcoming setting that encourages each child to thrive.

To our Junior Kindergarten children the apple is transformed into a tool for graphs, sorting and classifying.

To our Senior Kindergarten children the apple is an inspiration for still-life creations and presents an opportunity to communicate in writing.

Summer Fun

For children aged 2.5 to 4 (as of July 1)

To our Summer Fun children the apple is a delicious, juicy and refreshing snack

Mooredale's spacious outdoor playground is the venue for this action-filled program. Activities abound, including arts and crafts, games, water play, music and movement, and special events.

Children also visit Mooredale's heated pool, enjoying a one-on-one swim with a Mooredale staff member, under a lifeguard's watchful eye.
