THE MAYFAIR PARADE

Mayfair is here once again!  Start the day in one of the two parades that wind their way through our neighbourhood. You can start at the beginning or join us along the way. The Moore Park Parade starts at 8:20am. in Moorevale Park, and the Rosedale Parade starts at 8:30am. in Whitney Park on Glen Road, across from Rosedale United Church.  The 2 parades join together at 8:45am. at the bottom of the blue bridge  to walk together to Mayfair in Rosedale Park. Parade Departure Times
8:20 Starting from Moorevale Park (corner of Moore and Welland)
8:30 Starting from Whitney Park (Glen Road across from Rosedale United Church)
8:45 Both groups meet at the bottom of the blue bridge and walk together to Mayfair in Rosedale Park!

Costumes:  You come from space... you are Buzz Lightyear, Princess Leia, an astronaut or an alien

It's the date of the year as far as your children are concerned! The date of the event that battles in their hearts with their birthdays for being the most fun ever! Mayfair is on Saturday, May 14^th this year. Mark it on your calendar now.

This year's theme is "Mayfair in Space." Time to have fun with tinfoil and Spock ears! Astronauts, aliens, robots. Buzz Lightyear, Princess Leia, E.T. "We come in peace!"

Mayfair takes place in Rosedale Park and it starts Saturday morning with the Mayfair Parade which collects Rosedale and Moore Park kids and arrives in the park at 9:00 a.m.

Mayfair is a day-long event with rides for all ages, games and prizes, races, bingo, home baking, a climbing wall, a marketplace of fabulous treasures, an art tent, wacky hair, face painting, live bands, a beer garden and a food court… and more!

Of course, all this happens only because over 1,000 volunteers make it possible. We've started the planning, and it would be great if you'd join our team to help make this Mayfair a real winner! Come and joing the Mayfair Team!

Mayfair is the longest running community fair in Toronto.  For 64 years, neighbours have had fun volunteering at this great community event.  Without - YOU - Mayfair would not be possible.  If you are new to neeighbourhood, volunteering at Mayfair is a great way to have your family meet other families and support our local community centre, Mooredale House.
